Snap-Out Components, Outsmart Bad Weather
Katrina, Rita, Wilma....such nice names, but such bad behavior when it comes to hurricanes.

Marinas on the U.S. East and Gulf costs especially are no strangers to the wrath of savage storms, so when a new product comes along that can outsmart bad weather, operators take notice.  The management at Sportsman Marina in Orange Beach, Alabama took notice - and then took action - when introduced to Power Snap technology from Oklahoma based company HyPower, Inc.

"Two years ago we installed the PowerPort power pedestals made by HyPower" said Brian Wells, manager of the Sportsman Marina.  "The big selling point of the PowerPort is that you have the ability to remove the heads for a hurricane, and every time you do, you literally save thousands of dollars.  We've been removing the tops and storing them in a safe place since hurricane Ivan in 2004.  Last year, we took them up three times," he confirmed.
