Salty’s Marina – Louisiana Spotlight
Sometimes misfortune is the catalyst to developing new relationships.  This is the case with Salty’s Marina.  David Stapler and his daughter Lauren are co-owners of Salty’s Marina located on the Tchefuncte River just upstream from Lake Pontchartrain.  The area is rife with history and character and when talking with David you get a sense of that rich southern character “salt of the earth” kind of people that is so pervasive in the area.

Hurricane Katrina – August 2005
Hurricane Katrina was the catalyst.  David lost his marina to this devastating storm and was faced with having to rebuild.  His research led him to HyPower marine pedestals.  In his own words:

“As we began to rebuild our harbor following Hurricane Katrina, we researched several different electrical panels for our new floating covered boat slips.  When we discovered HyPower our search ended.  It was immediately evident that Todd and the HyPower team had a far superior product than their competitors.  The EnergyMate electrical components sold us with their interchangeable faceplates.  The PowerSnap Panels allowed us to tailor the electrical service to the needs of each boat owner, alternating from 30 to 50 amp services.  We were also impressed with the low wattage nightlight on the units.  They illuminate the walkway with the perfect amount of light to alleviate any safety hazards.  We are planning the next phase of our expansion in the coming year and we will definitely be calling HyPower for additional EnergyMates.”

David and Lauren through I am sure a lot of sweat and blood and persistence now have a first class facility; one that we are proud to be apart of.   They run a “tight ship” and are obviously liked by the boaters as they are nearly at full capacity and even have plans for a future expansion.  We thank both David and Lauren for their vote of confidence in HyPower and our products.
